Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Tribesence helps groups plan days out together. This policy explains what information Tribesence LLC (“Tribesence”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use tribesence.com, how we use it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password when you create an account. We never store your password itself, only a securely hashed version of it.
- Group preferences: the answers you give when planning, such as your starting ZIP code, group size, age ranges, preferred days, who is in the group (for example couples, families or friends), distance, time and budget preferences, interests, and any notes you type.
- Plans you save: the experiences and itineraries you save or like, and the names you give your groups.
- Feedback: if you fill in our feedback survey, your answers and, if you choose to give it, your email address.
- Messages: anything you send us at connect@tribesence.com.
Information stored on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your groups and plans between visits, and remember settings such as light or dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools.
How we use your information
- To create and run your account, and to keep your groups and saved plans in sync across your devices.
- To recommend places and build itineraries that fit your group's preferences, location and budget.
- To send you service emails, such as password reset links.
- To read your feedback and improve Tribesence.
- To keep the service secure and working properly.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Services that help us run Tribesence
We share information with the following providers only as needed to run the service:
- Amazon Web Services: hosts our servers and databases, stores your account, groups and saved plans, and sends our emails.
- Anthropic (Claude): writes your itineraries. It receives your group's preferences and notes along with information about the places being considered.
- OpenAI: helps match places to what your group is looking for. It may receive the text of your interests and notes.
- Google Maps: calculates driving distances and routes. It receives your starting ZIP code and the addresses of places on your plan.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users or the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information, groups and saved plans for as long as your account is open. Recommendations on a group's page refresh over time, but plans you save are kept until you remove them or delete your account. Feedback survey responses are kept to help us improve the service, and are deleted along with your account if they were linked to one of your groups.
When you delete your account, we permanently delete your account details, your groups and their preferences, the recommendations and itineraries created for them, and your saved plans. A copy of a feedback email that was already sent to our team inbox may remain there.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete your groups and remove saved plans at any time from within Tribesence.
- Delete your account yourself: sign in, open Profile from the menu under your email, and choose Delete account. After you confirm with your password, your account and the information linked to it are permanently deleted right away.
- You can also ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account for you, by emailing connect@tribesence.com.
- You can clear the information stored in your browser at any time through your browser settings.
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights over your personal information. We will honor those requests as required by law, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
Security
We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls on our systems. No service can guarantee perfect security, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.
Children
Tribesence is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Tribesence changes. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let you know on the site or by email.
